To say I was afraid would be an understatement, but perhaps that’s why I sought out the GORUCK Challenge in the first place. The GORUCK Challenge is a team based endurance event that is 10-12 hours long, covers 10-15 miles, and is led by U.S. Special Forces. I was carrying a backpack filled with four bricks wrapped in duct tape, and this challenge caused me to confront my fears and failures. I walked away from the GORUCK Challenge with the knowledge and confidence that I could do so much more that I ever thought was possible. This is my story of the GORUCK Challenge and the amazing team that I was a part of for this life changing event.
